Why should I attend SBLC?
The Sports, Business & Law Clinic is a great opportunity to gain the knowledge you need to start a career in sports law or sports management. Each day, you’ll meet a variety of legal and business professionals, and take a field trip to the Barclays Center. Get a behind-the-scenes look at the sports world, and find out what happens off the court! One of our students described it best: “the activities, guest speakers, and field trips opened me up to the world. The program showed me what I have to do in order to become successful in life.”
What if I’m not that interested in sports, law, or business?
Even if you’re uncertain about a career in sports law or business, SBLC is still a great opportunity. The skills you learn in SBLC are the skills all successful students and professionals need – the ability to think critically, write well, speak well in public, and advocate for themselves and others. When you join SBLC you’ll make new friends, form great relationships, interact with experienced professionals, and have the opportunity to earn trophies, prizes, and sports memorabilia!
